.Step – 1

If you see a cardiac arrest victim gasping for breathe, you must immediately dial 911 for emergency help. The emergency dispatcher may also guide you to immediate steps you must undertake till emergency rescue team reaches the victim.

But, you must also understand that some time may pass until help arrives and that time is crucial for the survival of the victim. Hence, you must move immediately to the side of the victim and start CPR process, which may increase his/her survival chance.

Step -2

You can place the heel of your hand on the chest of the victim; put another hand on the top of first, finger interlaced. Now press the chest 2 inch or 4-5 cm. You must give 30 fast compressions in 18 seconds or every compression must be faster than 1 second.
